Androgenetic Alopecia

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA), also called common baldness in its most advanced stages, consists of hair loss from the scalp following a characteristic clinical pattern.

It is the most frequent cause of diffuse non-scar hair loss, both in men and women. Its aesthetic consequences often cause loss of self-esteem, depression and anxiety.

It is a process that, due to its high frequency, is considered physiological in men after a certain age, but it can also debut in adolescence.

It is defined as a loss of hair, of hereditary character, induced by androgens in men and in some genetically predisposed women.
